Collaborative Expands Its Interactive Services Offering

TAGS:

In the past decade, we have seen significant advances in communications technology— from social media, to collaboration and learning innovations, to “better, faster, cheaper” Web tools. But while the tools have changed, the fundamental desire for people to connect in meaningful ways remains the same. Over this same period of time, Collaborative has focused its efforts on creating meaningful engagement opportunities, growing learning networks and moving information to knowledge to action. In doing so, we have developed innovative, interactive methods of learning, connecting with others and sharing knowledge.

Now we are combining those interests and expanding the depth and breadth of our Interactive Services to help philanthropies, networks, and national and community-based education associations to better leverage technology to advance learning, build community and move ideas to action. Whether the context is developing a knowledge management strategy within one of the nation’s largest nonprofits or building an online community of practice among grantees, we have found that building the technology is, in fact, the easier part; getting people to adopt and use the technology, and to participate in and contribute to the community, is harder. This is why we are making a commitment to work with clients every step of the way— to apply not only our technical savvy but our deep experience in engagement and community-building to support their interactive communications, and to build the capacity of their teams and partners to use it effectively.

We don’t just build the tool; we help to ensure that the tool supports your organization’s overarching goals. Some examples of our expanded services include:

  • Online community management
  • Expanded online learning for professional development
  • Social networking strategy
  • Web management consulting
  • Organizational capacity building
  • Expanded content development services

These services enhance our history of delivering award-winning Web sites and online applications.

To deliver these services, we have grown our team with the addition ofMichelle Bishop as Vice President of Interactive Services. Michelle has more than 15 years experience in Internet-based communications and has been part of helping people manage the changes in the use of technology for improved communication, connection and collaboration. Michelle has a Masters in Business Administration and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

“Expanding our offerings in Interactive Services is another in a series of deliberate steps that Collaborative is taking to help ambitious organizations in public education to engage in a combination of ways—face-to-face, online and through action-oriented research—to share knowledge and insights that can advance the learning of adults to support better outcomes for children,” explains Kris Kurtenbach, founding partner of Collaborative Communications. “We’re delighted to bring the depth of Michelle’s experience in designing, developing and delivering technology and Web-based communications projects to our team and to our clients. Combining technical skills and excellent customer relations capacities, Michelle has the capacity to identify client technology and communications needs, articulate technical jargon into a language that lay people can understand and ensure quality delivery.”
